Hopeless Lingerie

I saw this pictures of the Hopeless Lingerie label and it isn't that I find their lingerie all that. But the photos I think are amazingly suitable for the lingerie they want to sell and the story they want to tell.

Hunkydory

I saw part of these campaign of Hunkydory in a magazine and I was interested in how the whole campaign looked like. I like it that they use mood photos of the environment where the photos are shot and not only photos of the clothes. It really gives a whole atmosphere impression. It almost looks like a movie.

Here I want to post some information about the company, the style & the name from there own website:

The Company
Hunkydory was founded in 1996 by Ulrika and Christopher Bjercke. Ulrika and Christopher met during their education at Esmod in Paris. The couple started early to develop the seed that later became one of the first in a long line of young neo stockholm fashion brands to gain international interest and succes.

The Hunkydory line offers a new take on knitwear targeted to the contemporary young woman. The knitwear has always been the red thread in the concept, but the line has evolved rapidly into a full range collection.

Hunkydory's customer is a young woman between 20-30 who is looking for an alternative to the mainstream brands.

Ulrika and Christopher also select design projects outside their own collections. One of the most recognizable project would be the design of the scandinavian airline (sas) uniforms.

The Style
The style is casual mix of a feminine, scandinavian-ethnic style with a sporty feel and a young attitude. The corporate philosophy "always looking for a new angle, every changing but keeping the style and being recognizable" is instrumental in the process of creating the typical style of a Hunkydory product.

The Name
Hunkydory is slang, meaning that everything is cool, calm.. The phrase made famous by Mr. David Bowie became the trademark for the company in 1996.

CÉLINE

These are pictures from the Advertising Campaign for the Winter 2010 collection of CÉLINE. They grabbed my attention because of the simpleness of the designs, photography and models. And I really love the fact that they used an older model as well!

Joris Bruring

Joris Bruring is just an example of how various the work of a photographer (blogger) can be. It really speaks to me the different things he does for a living. He's the typical example for me as a lifestyle student, that has interests all over the art field and doesn't want to pin it's self to just one field like just fashion or just interior. So for me he is an example of how you can manage to do total different things and still be one and the same person. Here some examples of his work.

StudioRUIG

I knew StudioRUIG as a name, but never really looked into there work. And now I did, I found some nice work/collections. But to be honest I like it mostly because of the way the collections are photographed.
